Aims of the lesson plan.
To become familiar with the plants' diversity
To learn about the different structures we use to identify plants: leaves, flowers, fruits, stems…
To work in a collaborative environment to create a final product useful for everyone.
Steps of the lesson.
1. Students have been told to download ArbolApp and to learn about the use of it.
We go out to the garden organized into 6 groups of 4-5 students, in charge of two different trees, with the following tasks.
a. Identify each of the trees, using “búsqueda guiada” in the app.
b. Take pictures of the different structures of the tree and a general one.
2. Students write a description of the trees, information about habitat and interesting facts, and include the pictures in a flash card to upload to Padlet.
They send the links to the teacher, who can link each of the cards to a QR code.
3. Students cut the QR code labels, put inside a plastic cover and stick to each of the trees.
All the students make a tour trying to discover the information about all the trees.
